The Birth place

By: - Robert Frost.

Here further up the mountain slope
Than there was every any hope,
My father built, enclosed a spring,
Strung chains of wall round everything,
Subdued the growth of earth to grass,
And brought our various lives to pass.
A dozen girls and boys we were.
The mountain seemed to like the stir,
And made of us a little while--
With always something in her smile.
Today she wouldn't know our name.
(No girl's, of course, has stayed the same.)
The mountain pushed us off her knees.
And now her lap is full of trees.

What does this poem remind you off?????? This is one of my favorite poems by Robert Frost though it is quite different from other poems. This poem reminded me of many different things, among them one of them is my hometown because it also has mountain, in fact the highest mountain in the world, it reminded me of time when I was small and also how much I miss my hometown.

I think this poem is different than others because it doesn’t have any metaphors or similes, though it the personification because the speaker has called the mountain “her”, given the word “smile and lap”. The biggest symbol in the poem is the mountain which symbolizes many things like peace, purity and the poem tells us that how much the speaker is attached to that place, and his personality is influenced by his home town. It is a traditional poem with only total of fourteen lines and seven sentences which is called sonnet.

What I thought about the poem was that there was no one living there up in the mountain until the speaker along with his family went to stay there, after they settled down even other people came to live and there they had a mix up with different types of people but at one point of time something went wrong and they had to leave that place but when he went back to that place no one recognizes him. Well it kind of relates to most of our story though we left our home town and moved away not because something went wrong but because of our parents job and for the purpose of our education.

After I read this poem I felt this poem reflects a lot with what is happening in my life. I also thought this is such a cute poem.

Who knows me best?

Do you know who knows you the best? Well, in my case I do know someone who knows me more than anyone else in this planet and I am hundred percent sure because she has been sustaining me from the day I put my feet in this globe. It’s the person who knows everything of you as accurate as a dot.

She knows all about me… I can say she knows me from head to toe. She is someone who is very close to my heart….she is my soul mate. Without her I will obviously die. She is as precious as Gold to me. My personality and my behavior are all influenced by her. She is the person who makes me unique and teaches me how to be independent. She knows the tiniest things in the world about me, she consoles me when she needs to, and she alerts me for the necessary things that I have to shop for and she also reminds me time to time my responsibility of being the daughter in the family. My choices are know by her better than me myself.

Well, do you want to know who that girl is; like I told you she is my soul mate…. So, I think no one knows me better than me myself. In reality there is no one except you who knows yourself better than anyone else in this universal. This is the truth, whether you believe it or not.

My deep sleep dream

I was deep in my sleep and was dreaming that I was out with my friends having a good time bowling and watching movies. It was a beautiful day, the sun was as bright was a button, the sea as calm as the lamb, the sky as clean as a new pin. Everyone around us was jovial and they were also enjoying along with us.

All of a sudden my dream changes and I start dreaming about something irreverent to my life. It was a very odd delusion.

It is a story about when we keep moving from one city to another because of my friend who I was staying with and we could not live without each other. The main reason of our migration was because my friend was desperate to have a boyfriend. Every time she broke up with someone, we would out and start a fresh. One day I got really tired and decided to make an imaginary secrete admirer who stayed out of the country. The first step that I took was that I sent her a flower saying it was from anonymous. She was quite happy and I thought this was going to work but I guess I was wrong. As time passed she got desperate to see his photo and wanting to talk to him. I then took the second step and sent her a photo of a guy who was a friend of mine. I used to go over to my friend’s house and pretended to be the guy and have a chat with her. As things started getting out of my control I decided to tell her.

When she came to the place I had called her to tell her everything, that evening something extraordinary happened, after she came to know everything. The guy’s picture who I had sent to her decided to ask her out. And thank God we didn’t have to move after that. As things worked out between them.

DAD

I have got this chance to be born in this beautiful world and explore it. If daddy was not there I would not be standing here and exploring this beautiful world. He is someone who provides us all the essential things and plays the major role in order to keep us content. I think without him I am nothing.

Daddy is lofty, with brown eyes, he wears spectacles and has mustache. He is one person who you surely can trust with your eyes closed. His heart is as large as life. He trusts everyone easily. He is friendly, kind and loving to everyone. He also loves to assist everybody in spite of their status and background. He thinks everyone should be treated equally and we should all lend a hand to each other. He is the one who taught me how to walk by holding his hands and saved me from falling. He can do anything to protect me and my brother. He trained us how to read and write ABC and live our life autonomously. The best time with him is when we got out for weekends as a whole family. Along with Mama he is also a really superior cook. Me and my brother we always look forward to the weekends because we get to eat food cooked by daddy. It is the yummiest food in the world. This summer when I told my grandma that the food he cooks is very luscious and she said “I know that. None of his brothers cook like that.”

Everybody loves to spend time with him. Without daddy I would not be able to do anything and I am nothing without him. I love my daddy very much.
